The part of your shop you only notice when it fails

We monitor your server and your Magento application, release new code without taking the shop offline, and keep security patches up to date. The aim is simple: a problem shows up on our dashboard before it shows up in your inbox.

Why DevOps matters more now

Two things changed: who visits your shop, and how fast attackers move

Cloudflare Radar · November 202663%

of requests for web pages came from bots. Bots now outnumber people online.

Bots · 2025 holiday season43%

of e-commerce traffic came from malicious bots, up from 31% a year earlier.

PolyShell · Magento · March 20262 days

from public disclosure to mass exploitation of Magento stores.

PHP2Shell · PHP · October 2026Hours

attacks reported hours before the official PHP patch was released.

More of your traffic is not human

Since June 2026, bots make more requests for web pages than people do. AI crawlers, scrapers and shopping agents visit webshops at scale. They don’t buy, but they do load your server.

What it means for your shop? Server load can rise without a single extra order. You want to see that coming before checkout slows down.

Attackers move in hours, not days

AI makes it faster to turn a published patch into a working exploit. Seven months separate the two attacks above, and the window went from days to hours.

What it means for your shop? A patch that waits for the next sprint can be too late. Until it is live, someone needs to be watching the shop.

Downtime calculator

What does an hour of downtime cost your shop?

Your figures

Example figures are filled in. Replace them with your own.

€
Your turnover on a normal day.
14 h
1 h24 h
For example 14 if most orders come in between 08:00 and 22:00.
How busy is the day you are calculating?
x
3x means three times your normal revenue per hour. Use your own figure if you know it.
€
Google, Meta and other paid traffic. Ads keep running while the shop cannot sell.
100%
5%100%
100% when the shop is down. Lower when only part of it fails, for example one payment method.
2 h
024 h
From the moment something breaks until someone knows about it.
1 h
15 min12 h
From the moment someone knows until orders come in again.
Optional. Set to 0 to hide the yearly figure.
How this is calculated
  • Revenue per hour = daily revenue ÷ order hours × busy-day multiplier × share of orders lost
  • Ad spend per hour = daily ad spend ÷ order hours × share of orders lost
  • Cost of one incident = (revenue + ad spend per hour) × (time until noticed + time to fix)

Every number comes from what you enter. Nothing is added from industry averages.

What our DevOps service covers

Notice problems sooner, give them fewer chances

Proactive server and application monitoring

We measure the Magento application and the server continuously and look at anomalies before a customer reports them.

Working towards a zero error baseline

Error logs from Magento, the server and the browser are cleaned up systematically, so a new error stands out immediately.

Zero-downtime deployments

New code goes live without taking the shop offline. Version control repository and deployment pipeline maintenance are part of it.

Magento security patches

Magento security patches are tracked and applied, so the shop stays on a current, patched version.

Magento security scans

Periodic security scans on top of the patches, to catch what a patch list alone does not show.

Performance optimisation

Load times and CWV as an ongoing subject, not a one-off project. Measured daily from real visitors with RUMvision, instead of waiting for 28-day average.

Server monitoring tells you the server is up. We also watch the shop.

A server can be perfectly healthy while checkout has stopped working, or while the cronjob that exports your orders has quietly failed. Our own DevOps dashboard follows both the technical layer and the parts of the shop that make money.

These are not theoretical dashboards. It is the monitoring that runs for our clients today.

How we deploy

Releases without taking the shop offline

Every shop gets its own configured deploy script, with automatic detection of database changes. On Hypernode we use Hypernode Deployer for this.

Zero-downtime releases are our standard way of working, not a special arrangement for big launches.

Next to DevOps

Support in the same maintenance contract

  • Bug fixes
  • Magento and extension upgrades
  • 24/7 reachability by phone or email
  • Access to our ticketing system, where you can follow the status of every request

Toolnation: fast on launch day, and watched every day since

After the Hyvä launch we put a full DevOps contract in place for Toolnation: real-time monitoring of all critical systems, business-critical alerts on order flow and checkout, and controlled releases through a deploy script configured for their shop.

Younify not only made our webshop drastically faster with Hyvä, they also make sure everything keeps running stably day and night. That combination of technical quality and proactive monitoring makes the difference.Team Toolnation

Questions

Frequently asked about DevOps

Our hosting provider already monitors our server. Why add this?

Server monitoring tells you whether the machine is up and how it is coping with load. It does not look inside Magento. Our monitoring adds the application and business layer: cronjobs, Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch, order flow and checkout availability.

What does working towards a zero error baseline mean?

We analyse the error logs from Magento, the server and the browser and clean them up systematically. Not because every error causes an outage, but because a clean baseline means a new error stands out immediately.

What does a zero-downtime deployment look like in practice?

New code goes live without taking the shop offline. Releases run through a deploy script configured for your shop, which detects database changes automatically. It is our standard way of releasing, not a special arrangement for big launches.

Is DevOps a one-off project?

No. Monitoring, security patches and a clean error baseline only work if someone keeps doing them. Performance is treated the same way: an ongoing subject, not a one-off project.

Does the downtime calculator store my figures?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or stored, and you do not need to leave an email address to see the result.

What is clone monitoring?

Criminals sometimes copy a webshop to a look-alike domain to collect customers’ login or payment details. We use Did Someone Clone Me to detect when a copy of your shop appears on another domain, so a fake version of your shop does not go unnoticed.

Where is your DevOps team based?

In our office in Niš, Serbia, alongside the developers, front-end developers and support team who work on the same shops.

Want to know how quickly your shop would detect this?

Tell us about your shop and how it is monitored today. We will look at where a problem could go unnoticed, and what it would take to catch it sooner.

What we can go through together:

  • How your shop is monitored and alerted today
  • How new code reaches your live shop
  • Security patches and the state of your error logs
  • Load times and Core Web Vitals
