The Challenge

Maxifleur-Kunstplanten, a leader in high-quality artificial plants, faced significant challenges with their existing Magento 2 webshops built on the Luma theme. Although the webshops provided the desired functionalities, they struggled with slow loading speeds and lacked advanced performance metrics.

As Google shifted its focus toward valuing loading speed, Maxifleur’s web presence began to suffer, negatively impacting its SEO rankings and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the Luma theme’s developer-unfriendly nature meant that implementing changes was costly and time-consuming. Maxifleur needed a solution to enhance their webshops’ speed, performance, and user experience to stay competitive and improve sales.

What did Younify do?

Recognizing the potential of the Hyvä theme, Younify recommended it as the solution to Maxifleur’s challenges. Our team started transforming their webshops, with an upgrade to the latest Magento version for integration with the Hyvä theme.

  1. Extension Compatibility:

    • Since many vendors had not yet developed Hyvä-compatible modules, we created custom compatibility modules for essential functions like Layered Navigation, FAQs, product labels, and search functionality.
  2. Custom Functionalities:

    • We implemented custom features such as a hover image on category pages and developed a MegaMenu module, which was initially deployed on Maxifleur’s webshop and later used on other Hyvä sites.
  3. Design and User Experience:

    • Our team focused on optimizing the design and user experience, ensuring the webshops were mobile-responsive and had a user-friendly interface.
  4. Performance Optimization:

    • We emphasized image optimization and SEO best practices to enhance loading speeds and improve search engine rankings.
